Stupid you say? Well we call it ingenious when you’re on a tight budget. And it’s not stupid if it works! Through this makeshift invention of chains and rollers, this father has found a way to reverse his Nissan Pathfinder as a temporary fix. By posting a video on his ingenious car reverse idea, the father is now YouTube famous along with his son.

While watching the video, it should be noted that this isn’t something that should be used in a full parking lot. It could cause a serious traffic block with the time it takes to apply and take off the chains and rollers, but nonetheless, it’s a great way to get your car out of your driveway when you can’t afford or don’t have time to go get your transmission fixed.

Don’t worry about losing business to this invention though. No one can use chains and rollers forever to reverse their car, so you can expect people to come and get their transmission repairs.
