Looking for love? How about a blind date with a professional stunt driver in her Ford Mustang?

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Ford introduced a new commercial sure to ignite conversation, and romance. Here’s the premise: in the heart of Dallas, men meet up with an attractive and seemingly shy woman in a small coffee shop for a blind date, unaware of the hidden cameras watching them the entire time. They cover the typical first date questions and formalities, and then agree to join her for a ride in her Ford Mustang.

She drives cautiously at first, even going so far as to admit that she is not that great at driving stick. The guys are impressed by her car, but they have no idea what a ride they are in for. They continue the awkward small talk and even offer to drive the car that she apparently doesn’t know how to drive that well.

But then things take a turn. The stunt driver slams on the accelerator and wildly whips the Mustang around an empty parking lot. She launches the car into a series of burnouts and donuts as the guys sit white-knuckled and shocked in the passenger seat. She then slams on the breaks, and as the car sits there waiting for the dust to settle, she lets the lucky gentlemen in on a little secret: she’s a professional stunt driver. And they’ve been on camera this entire time.

Best first date ever? Possibly, and it’s all thanks to Ford and their sleek Mustang. Because who says cars and romance don’t mix.
