Reasons for the Season (Seasonal Promotions of Course)

At CareCareConnect, we believe that the seasons are very important for your auto repair shop. These are the peak times in the year for your automotive business to take advantage of a great business strategy. From a change in the temperatures to the winter holidays, these optimal blocks of time will help your shop expand its recognition.

The changes in seasons are a busy time for most customers, but you have to remember that it is a prime time for people to come in for a car tune-up. In order to attract and retain this huge potential inflow of customers, you should offer different deal and promotions centered around this time. Timing is everything when it comes to seasonal automotive promotions, so make sure your well-timed seasonal promotion gets noticed and promotes action.

School Academic Calendars

Don’t forget to take into account the schedules of local high schools academic calendars as well as large universities in your state. When high school or college students are starting up school again, the parents are trying to tune-up their cars before a busy semester. Take advantage of this time period by placing your promotions about a month before/during the start of a new school semester in the fall. It’s all about analyzing your local customers and finding when its most convenient for them to come to your repair shop!

The Holidays and Seasonal Changes

Especially around the winter holidays, people are looking for ways to save money, and your auto shop’s conveniently-placed deals could be just what they’re looking for. Offer family deals so that customers will bring in multiple cars at once for some tune-ups. Present it as a Christmas gift to your loyal customers to show your appreciation.

New Years is a time for everyone to make resolutions and get a fresh start. Make sure you offer your customers the same by marketing your promotions as a “new year, new you, new car.” By promoting regular car care as a resolution to your customers, you can tell them how changing a few car care habits can help their vehicle last longer. This would include cleaning out their vehicle, checking their tire pressure once per month, following their maintenance schedule in the owner’s manual, etc. Not only are you giving them advice, but you are also showing them that your business cares (especially with the deals you’re offering around this time).

Is it summer time already? Make sure to let your customers know that you offer some great deals for the start of the summer. This is the time that families decide to go on road trips with their kids, so try offering deals based around tuning-up the car before the long car ride ahead. You could offer a free car-check to see if your customer needs an oil change, a fluid change, new tires, new windshield wipers, or a quick fix to the air conditioning and filters.

It’s the dead of summer in July, the sun is shining, and the car is boiling hot. What can you do for customers? Show some pride and love for you country by hopping on the Independence Day bandwagon! Mix-up your promotions by offering air-conditioning appreciation deals for a good chunk of the summer, celebrate your “independent auto repair shop” by promoting your own business’s independence, and let your customers know that you appreciate them by making it a national grilling or ice cream month with free food. Who doesn’t love free food?

You can get creative each month with the types of deals you offer! Whether it be a promotion having to do with a change in the weather or a holiday that your auto repair shop celebrates, make sure you let your customers know about it. You have to promote the promotions in order to make it effective marketing.
